KIEV, Oct. 4 – Over 7,000 Kiev heat consumers (including houses and social facilities) could be left without heating and hot water in the coming first autumn frosts due to the fact that Kyivtransgaz cut gas pressure for combined heat and power plant five and combined heat and power plant six, Kyivenergo reported.
"On Thursday, October 3, at 1400 the trunk gas pipelines department Kyivtransgaz under an order of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy cut the gas pressure at combined heat and power plant five and combined heat and power plant six… At present, the gas pressure reduction did not affect the operation of the plants – the two plants continue operating… However, due to the expected fall in temperatures and frosts the required parameters of heat will not be observed in the future. Over 7,000 consumers will be left without hot water supply and heat," the company said.
