IVANO-FRANKIVSK, June 27 – Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administration has said it would prefer Ukrainian investors to realize a project to restart potash fertilizer production in Kalush, despite a contract having been signed earlier with Chinese investors.
"As for the agreement earlier signed with China… we haven't canceled it. They're continuing to initiate and accelerate construction. However, taking into account the fact that Ukrainian investors have appeared, it's clear that we should prefer the Ukrainian investors. If our investors refuse [to implement the project], we'll continue working with the foreign investors," Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administration head Mykhailo Vyshyvaniuk said.
