ODESSA, March 18 - Odessa Regional Prosecutor Oleksandr Halkin has asked Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak to facilitate the elimination of the consequences of an oil spill in the Black Sea, the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office has reported.
The prosecutor's office asked the ministry to involve all seaports, including Odessa, Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky and Illichivsk ports, in eliminating the consequences of the oil spill.
Earlier, Oleh Zolotariov, the head of the department for environmental and radiation monitoring at the checkpoints of the State Environmental Protection Inspectorate of the North-Western region of the Black Sea, said that the oil spill in the Black Sea off the coast of Odessa region should disappear by itself.
