KIEV, Feb. 28 – The Ukrainian government will soon ensure the resumption of operation of five idle industrial enterprises in the country: two ferroalloy plants, two oil refineries and Karpatnaftokhim, Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko said at an extended cabinet meeting with the participation of the Ukrainian president in Kiev on Wednesday.
"This will give us an additional UAH 60 billion in industrial production, or almost 2% [growth in industrial production]," the premier said.
According to Interfax-Ukraine's information, this concerns Zaporizhia and Stakhanov ferroalloy plants, which were stopped due to high power tariffs, and Odessa and Lysychansk oil refinery, which are under the control of Russia's LUKOIL and TNK-BP.
