KIEV, Feb. 22 – President Viktor Yanukovych said that Kiev will not pay a $7 billion bill to Gazprom for taking less gas than agreed under a 2009 gas supply contract.

"We've decided not to pay the sanctions. We're in talks now," Yanukovych said in the Dialogue with the Country live television program on Friday.

The Ukrainian president said that the current contract signed between Ukraine and Russia on supply of natural gas is unfair.
