Zaliv shipyard launches hulls of 2 ships to supply drilling rigs

SIMFEROPOL, Jan. 25 - Zaliv shipyard (Kerch, Crimea) on Thursday launched the hulls of two ships for delivering provisions to drilling platforms being built at the same time in the dry dock of the shipyard under an order of Norwegian and Dutch companies, the Crimean Council of Ministers reported.

Crimean Prime Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

A ship for delivering provisions to offshore oil and gas drilling platforms of the PX121 project was built under the order of Norway's Ulstein Hull AS. Its length is 83.4 meters, its width is 18 meters, its height is 8 meters and its deadweight is 1,832 tons.

The customer of the second offshore ship under PSV 3300 project was Dutch company Damen Shipyard Bergum. The length of the ship is 80.1 meters, its width is 16.2 meters, its height is 7.5 meters and the deadweight is 4,230 tons.
