KIEV, Jan. 3 – Ukraine’s stalled oil refining and electrometallurgical sectors are to resume operation in 2013, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
"We are to resume operation of the oil refining, chemical and electrometallurgical sectors. We should achieve the implementation of the decisions made aimed at the reduction of production expenses of domestic producers in the areas," he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko and Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky are responsible for the realization of the tasks.
As reported, Ukraine's oil refineries and Shebelynka gas refinery cut crude refining by 48.7% to 4.263 million tons in the eleven-month period of 2012.
