KIEV, Oct. 2 – Ukraine’s second biggest oil refinery by capacity, owned by Russian oil major TNK-BP, was acquired by an undisclosed investor, Volodymyr Prystiuk, the head of the Luhansk state administration, said Tuesday.
The new investor is currently upgrading and repairing equipment at Lisichansk Oil Refinery and is awaiting results of an audit of the refinery, Prystiuk said cited by Luhansk administration’s press service reported.
A spokeswoman at TNK-BP’s Ukrainian subsidiary on Tuesday declined to comment on the report.
