KIEV, Sept. 19 – The Cabinet of Ministers is ready to meet the interests of Ukrainian electrometallurgical companies, which have asked for beneficial conditions for electricity supplies, and to make a decision by October 15, according to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
"This should be a two-way street, so the fulfillment of all social and investment liabilities taken on by the owners of electrometallurgical companies will be closely supervised by an ad hoc interagency commission," the premier said while opening a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, summarizing a meeting held on Tuesday.
"If profits go offshore, and people are dismissed from enterprises, and wages are not paid, we'll discuss the appropriateness of having such an owner," he added.
