KIEV, Aug. 20 — The government on Monday dismissed the head of EnergoAtom, the state-owned nuclear power generating giant, creating a vacancy for the position, which will supervise $5 billion in new capacity projects within eight years.

Yuriy Nedashkivskiy, a veteran nuclear industry manager, was fired for “failing to fulfill employment contract,” the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported without providing any details.
