KIEV, July 13 - Ukraine will increase dependence on Russian crude oil significantly if the government moves to slap higher duties on imports of gasoline and diesel, according to an independent energy consultancy.
“The government is making colossal efforts to reduce dependence on Russia in natural gas sector, but on the other hand it may lead the country into similar oil trap,” Serhiy Kuyun, the head of A-95, a Kiev-based energy consultancy, said in the report.
