KIEV, Feb. 15 – Grain exports from Ukraine are being hindered by the cold weather, said Serhiy Kvasha, director of the agrarian markets department at the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.
"The export pace is very slow. While earlier ships could enter ports from any point of the [surrounding] water area, now they have to use a channel made by an ice-breaker," he said.
Kvasha said that there is a difficult situation not only at the ports, but at grain elevators, the railways and roads.
