KIEV, Oct. 12 - Ukraine on Wednesday was temporarily suspended from trading emission units under the Kyoto Protocol amid reported problems with transparency of data gathering, a government agency reported.

The development comes as a major setback for Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, who was last month specifically instructed by President Viktor Yanukovych to fix existing problems to make sure that Ukraine continues to sell the quotas.
