KIEV, Sept. 16 – Ukraine may suggest creating a trilateral joint venture, involving itself, Russia and the European Union, to operate its massive natural gas pipeline network, Interfax-Ukraine reported Friday, citing a source.

The idea, which is supposed to be discussed at President Viktor Yanukovych’s meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow on September 24, is designed to help lower Russia’s gas prices for Ukraine, the source said.
