KIEV, April 12 – The National Bank of Ukraine said has enough funds to even out fluctuations of the hryvnia exchange rate.

"While allowing the hryvnia exchange rate to move freely, the NBU is smoothing out sharp fluctuations through currency interventions and reducing exchange rate risks. The NBU has enough potential of stability, which promotes the retention of the hryvnia's predictability and its stability," reads an NBU report.

The report says that as a part of Stand-By Arrangement of the International Monetary Fund, Ukraine took on the obligation to gradually increase the flexibility of the hryvnia exchange rate.
