KIEV, Jan. 21 – The Higher Economic Court of Ukraine has canceled the protections given to Soremartec S.A., a part of the Ferrero Group, of the intellectual property right to the trademark protecting the appearance of Raffaello sweets in Ukraine, Soremartec reported.

The Higher Economic Court of Ukraine declined to satisfy a counter-claim by Soremartec against a ruling of Kiev Economic Court of Appeals upholding a counter-claim of Russia's CJSC Landrin, which uses a similar trademark for its Landrin Waferatto Classics sweets.
