KIEV, Sept. 6 - President Viktor Yanukovych will visit the European Union's headquarters in Brussels on September 13 as part of the country's euro-integration bid, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Monday.
Ever since replacing pro-Western Viktor Yushchenko as president in February, Yanukovych has been making significant efforts to improve relations with Russia.
However, he also said that "euro-integration" will remain to be a priority for Ukraine and wants Ukraine to be an EU associate member.
