Putin said to meet Yanukovych in Crimea
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, July 21 – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will visit Crimea on Saturday and Sunday, and is expected to meet President Viktor Yanukovych, Interfax reported Wednesday citing an unidentified source.

The meeting is expected to be held at Yanukovych’s Black Sea residence in Crimea, the source said. The Ukrainian leader has taken a 46-day vacation starting July 9.

Neither Putin’s nor Yanukovych’s press service was able to confirm the report.

Russian media reported earlier that Putin planned to visit Crimea to join festivities celebrating the Russian Naval Fleet Day in Crimea on July 25.
