KIEV, April 20 – Ukraine will seek to secure a new $12 billion lending program from the International Monetary Fund that will last for the next 2.5 years, Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Tyhypko said Tuesday.
This is the first time a government official has disclosed the amount of money that Ukraine seeks to borrow from the IMF through the end of 2012 to support economic recovery after 15% contraction in 2009.
