KIEV, March 2 – The Health Ministry announced it has drawn up a list of foodstuffs that are to be checked for genetically modified organism (GMO) content.

The list of foodstuffs will be approved after it is agreed with central executive agencies.

The list includes foodstuff and food that could be made from GMO containing products, including soybeans, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, marrows, melons, pawpaw, chicory, sugar beet, rape, flax, cotton, wheat, sunflower, rice, food supplements made from GMOs, and diet products made from GMOs.
