Arbuzov: Ukraine plans on asking the IMF for 10 billion SDR loan

KIEV, Jan. 14 - Ukraine will hold talks with the International Monetary Fund on a 10 billion SDR loan, First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov announced.

"Concerning the IMF, we plan, as previously, to discuss the sums, documented in the previous memorandum - some 10 billion in SDR's (around $15 billion)," he told the press in Kiev on Monday.

Russia seeks control over gas pipelines

KIEV, Jan. 15 – Natural gas price talks between Russia and Ukraine collapsed last month after Moscow suddenly demanded a controlling stake in Ukrainian gas pipelines, a newspaper reported Saturday, citing a source.
