KIEV, April 18 – President Viktor Yanukovych assured European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso on Monday that Ukraine is determined to complete comprehensive talks on political association and free trade with the EU before the end of the year.

Government reports ‘certain progress’ in Russian natural gas talks

KIEV, April 16 - Ukraine and Russia on Friday made “certain progress” in talks over re-negotiating a 10-year natural gas supply agreement towards lowering gas prices, the Ukrainian government said in a statement.

The statement was issued hours after the talks between Energy and Fuel Minister Yuriy Boyko and Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller in Moscow.
