KIEV, April 16 – Despite changes in the course of the Danube River, there are no grounds to change the Ukrainian-Romanian border and transfer Ukraine's Maikan Island to Romania, since the border line was confirmed by both sides in an agreement regarding the regime of the Ukrainian-Romanian border, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
"The Ukrainian side rejects any claims [about a need] to change the state border, and is guided by the invariability of the border line on any section of the state border, including near the island of Maikan," the press service told Inter Media Consulting on Thursday.
