KIEV, Dec. 23 - Ukraine's opposition is in disarray after failing to offer a clear agenda to their supporters in response to the signing by President Viktor Yanukovych of a bailout deal with Russia, AFP reported.

KIEV, Dec. 23 - Russia closed a deal on Friday to buy Ukraine's newly-issued $3 billion Eurobond, part of a $15 billion bailout of its smaller neighbor, Reuters reported citing Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

"The results of the inquiry conducted at the request of the Ukrainian president point to a lack of evidence of possible involvement by Ukraine and Ukrainian companies in the supposedly illegal arms deal.


NBU advisor cites November slowing of current account deficit rise

KIEV, Dec. 23 – While a radical improvement of the state of Ukraine's balance of payment was not seen in November, the rise in the deficit of the current and financial account slowed against October’s, Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of the group of advisors to the NBU governor, told Interfax-Ukraine.
