EC Energy Union official to hold talks in Moscow on Nov. 25

MOSCOW , Nov. 22 - Vice President of the European Commission for the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic will hold negotiations with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak on November 25 in Moscow , according to the official schedule of the European official posted on the website of the European Commission.


Survey: More than 70% would vote in early parliamentary elections

KIEV, Nov. 23 - If early parliamentary elections were called in Ukraine in the near future, more than 70% of Ukrainians would be willing to cast their ballots, as is seen from a public opinion survey conducted by the Sofia center of social studies.


Housing and utility subsidies reported up 3.6-fold through Oct. 31

KIEV , Nov. 23 - The total amount of subsidies paid to families for housing and utility services in Ukraine amounted to UAH 3.214 billion in January-October 2016, which is UAH 2.309 billion, or 3.6 times up year-over-year, the State Statistics Service reported.

Investigation group to ask ICC to take up 2014 downing of flight MH17

KIEV , Nov. 23 – The international investigation group probing the downing of the Boeing passenger airline MH17 in Donbas during July 2014 will ask the International Criminal Court (ICC) to review the crime as a result of state treason committed by ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, as well as the subsequent occupation of Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine.


Germany and France call for Minsk meeting

KIEV, Nov. 23 - Germany and France have proposed a meeting next week with Russia andUkraine to quell violence in eastern Ukraine, Deutsche Welle reported Wednesday. A meeting last month led to a short de-escalation in fighting.

Five arrested after hoisting Ukraine flag on Moscow skyscraper
