KIEV, June 23 – A Visa Information System (VIS) will launch in Ukraine on June 23, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.

"VIS foresees [that] fingerprints and a digital photograph are collected from persons applying for a Schengen visa. This biometric data, along with data provided in the visa application form, is recorded in a secure central database," reads the report.
