Ukrainians have a better view of Russia than vice versa: polls

KIEV, Feb. 27 – The majority of Ukrainians have a better view of Russia than Russians do of Ukraine, according to a pair of new polls.

The polls were conducted by the Kiev International Sociology Institute (KISI) in Ukraine and the Levada-Center in Russia, according to a KISI report on Friday.


Yushchenko thanks World Bank president for support of initiative

KIEV, Feb. 27 – President Viktor Yushchenko has thanked the World Bank President Robert Zoellick for the Bank's support of the Ukrainian president's initiative calling on all branches of power to join efforts in order to resume cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

Yushchenko said this in a letter to the World Banks' president, the Ukrainian president's press service reported on Friday.
