Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Polish parliamentarians to meet next month

KIEV, Sept. 7 – A meeting of the interparliamentary assembly of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland will be held this October.

This issue was discussed at a meeting of speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn and speaker of the Lithuania parliament Irena Degutiene on Monday.


Security Service questions Batkivschyna Party official in RUE case

PM: Naftogaz Ukrayiny to purchase 32 bcm of natural gas next year

KIEV, Sept. 7 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny is to buy 32 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas from OJSC Gazprom in 2010, which is a similar volume to gas purchases in 2009 but lower than the 52 bcm stipulated in the contract for 2009-2019, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said.
