Ukraine, UEFA reach compromise over jersey ahead of first Euro-2020 game

KYIV, June 11 - Ukraine's football association said Friday it had managed to agree on a compromise with UEFA over Euro 2020 kits that feature patriotic slogans and sparked Russia's ire, but European football's governing body said nothing had changed in practice.

"We've managed to reach a victorious compromise with UEFA!" the association chief, Andriy Pavelko, said in a statement on Facebook, describing the negotiations as "extremely tough".


Zelenskiy leads Poroshenko, Tymoshenko in latest opinion poll

Zelenskiy thanks G7 for unwavering support

KYIV, June 13 - President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday thanked leaders of the Group of Seven (G-7) nations for their support after they urged Russia to withdraw troops from the Ukrainian border.

Zelensky in a tweet on Sunday said he was grateful to the G-7 leaders for voicing their support of his country in the conflict.
