Metal manufacturers call on government to revise scrap export volumes

KIEV, July 16 – Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry should revise the volume of exports of scrap ferrous metal for H2 2015 and limit exports due to the major shortage of scrap metal on the Ukrainian market and the threat of stoppage at some mining and metal companies, the Federation of Metal Manufacturers of Ukraine said.

Boryspil Airport starts work on new multi-level terminal D parking

KIEV, July 16 – Boryspil International Airport in early July started work on the construction of a multi-level parking area opposite terminal D, the airport reported.

The parking area is set to open in the third quarter of 2014.


Ukraine reports trade surplus for the first time since January

KIEV, July 15 – For the first time since January, Ukraine has seen a surplus in its foreign trade in goods, as its exports in May 2013 exceeded imports by $179.8 million, while in May 2012 there had a deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods estimated at $1.328 billion, according to the State Statistics Service.
