Official: The price of natgas imports from Russia won’t spike in Q4
KIEV, Aug. 14 – The price of gas to be imported by Ukraine in the fourth quarter will not drastically differ from the one registered in the third quarter, Bohdan Sokolovsky, the Ukrainian president's commissioner for international energy security, told Interfax-Ukraine. |
Cabinet allocates UAH5.9 billion to support land distribution
KIEV, Aug. 14 – The Ukrainian cabinet has approved the allocation of UAH 5.954 billion for the free registration and issue of state acts on property rights to land to citizens in 2009.
This is stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 844 of August 5, 2009 on some issues of the realization of the property rights to land by Ukrainian citizens. |
Industry, economy ministries mulling cancellation of co preferences
KIEV, Aug. 17 – Ukraine's Industry and Economy ministries are considering the cancellation of preferences given to two companies of Industrial Union of Donbas Corporation (IUD), a company of Metinvest Group's Azovstal and a company of Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) for the non-submission of information on prices of steel products sold on the domestic and foreign markets.

Average rental rate for Kiev shopping centers to rise by 10-15%
KIEV, Aug. 15 –The average rental rate in shopping centers in Kiev may rise by 10-15% in 2009, the Ukrainian Trade Guild (UTG, Kiev) has said.
The average rental rate in operating shopping centers in Kiev grew by 6% over January-June 2008 compared to the end of 2007, up to $145-150 per square meter a month.

DEPOT Development Group to invest $200 million of opportunities
KIEV, Aug. 14 – Developing company DEPOT Development Group, part of the Foxtrot group of companies, plans to invest about $200 million in the development of DEPOt shopping and entertainment centers across Ukraine by 2010, DEPOT Development Group Commercial Director Dmytro Potapnev has told Interfax-Ukraine. |
Ukrainian grain stockpile 42% higher than same period last year
KIEV, Aug. 15 - Grain stocks at Ukrainian agricultural enterprises and companies that handle storage and processing (except small enterprises) stood at 19.3 million tons on Aug. 1, 42% more than the same date last year, the State Statistics Committee said in a statement. |
