KIEV, Aug. 17 – Given the existing trends, the Ukrainian banking system could return to pre-crisis indicators only after several years, according to Credit-Rating agency.
"The scope of the accumulated problems in the banking system is huge, which strengthens the banks' sensitivity to systemic and individual risks. The main efforts of banks are to be aimed at improving the quality and boosting the volume of profitable assets, which would diminish the influence of losses seen in previous years and provide an increasing return on capital," said analyst Viktor Shulik.
