Ukraine??™s economic growth up 8.2% on year in November, govt says
KIEV, Dec. 15 ??“ Ukraine??™s economy expanded 8.2% on the year in November led by robust exports of steel, the country??™s main export commodity, the State Statistics Committee reported Friday.
The economic expansion accelerated to 6.7% on the year in January through November suggesting the annual growth may exceed the government??™s target of 5.8% to 6%. |
European companies would win if Ukraine joins EU, Egis CEO says

BofA downgrades Ukraine’s 2021 economic growth forecast to 3% vs. 4.5%
KYIV, Nov 16 – Analysts of Bank of America Corp. (BofA) have downgraded the forecast for Ukraine's economic growth in 2021 from 4.5% to 3%, which may entail non-payment on value recovery instruments (VRI) in 2023 and increases the likelihood of coupon redemption by the Ministry of Finance, BofA Global Research said in November.

Diplomats urge Ukraine to repay debts to renewable energy firms
KYIV, Nov 16 - Ambassadors of more than 10 representing countries in Ukraine, whose businesses have invested more than EUR 2 billion in the Ukrainian renewable energy sector, called on Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to ensure full repayment of debts to them at a feed-in tariff, in particular through direct payments from the budget and issue of government domestic loan bonds.
