Cabinet relaxes reserve stock requirements for gas suppliers
KIEV, Dec. 17 – The Cabinet of Ministers has relaxed the requirement for the reserve stock of gas for suppliers from 100% to 50% of the monthly volume, Oleksandr Vovk, an advisor to the Energy and Coal Industry Minister, wrote on his Facebook page. |
Visegrad Group to provide 410 scholarships for Ukrainian students
KIEV, Dec. 16 – The foreign affairs ministers of the Visegrad Group have announced the establishment of a special fund of assistance to Ukraine, which among other things will provide 410 scholarships for Ukrainian students to study in the four countries belonging to the Visegrad group, the Ukrainianparliament press service reported. |
Analysts predict sharp drop in Ukrainian steel export income
KIEV, Dec. 16 – Ukraine this year could see currency income from exports of ferrous metal products – iron ore, cast iron, rolled steel and pipes – fall by 13.6% compared to 2013, to $16.05 billion ($18.57 billion in 2013), and by 14.1% in 2015 compared to 2014, to 413.794 billion. |
Kiev court of appeals releases Ukrinterengo chief from detention
KIEV, Dec. 17 – The Kiev court of appeals has released Volodymyr Zinevych, the head of Ukrinterenergo State Enterprise from pre-trial detention, however he will be held under house arrest, and is subject to a curfew from 21:00 to 07:00.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that Judge Anton Chernushenko announced the decision, which partially satisfied the claims of the plaintiff. |
Boryspil International Airport to borrow $300 million to pay loans
KIEV, Dec. 16 – Kiev's Boryspil International Airport plans to raise a loan of $300 million, the company said in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupivel bulletin.
The company said that the tender includes 10 lots: a lot of $90 million, two lots of $50 million each, a lot of $30 million, two lots of $20 million each and four lots of $10 million each. |
Two companies submit bids in tender for Volynoblenergo stake
KIEV, Dec. 17 – Two companies have submitted bids to participate in a tender to sell 75% of Volynoblenergo (Lutsk), an electricity supply company, the State Property Fund reported on Monday after the expiration of the term of submitting bids for the tender. |
