DTEK says it is cooperating with Swiss probe of Yanukovych associates
KIEV, March 17 – DTEK, the largest private energy holding of Ukraine, has confirmed that as a part of the investigation by the Swiss authorities into the activities of some former Ukrainian officials, the company has presented financial and legal documents of its Swiss subsidiaries to law-enforcement agencies of Switzerland for study. |
Spectechnoexport finishes armored personnel carriers for Indonesia

Infrastructure ministry to pursue JV with Czech Skoda company

Auto group to recommend importers rush car clearance to avoid duties
KIEV, March 15 – The All-Ukrainian Association of Car Importers and Dealers (VAAID) in connection with Ukraine's decision to impose special import duties on cars with the engines of 1,000-2,200 cc for three years, which are to come into force in 30 days, is intending to recommend vehicle importers import and perform the customs clearance of cars during these 30 days under the old system without special duties. |
Official vows to diversify natural gas sources unless price is lowered
KIEV, March 18 - Ukraine will make a “serious diversification” of natural gas imports this year unless Russia agrees to lower its gas prices, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytskiy said Monday.
Ukraine will probably be importing gas at $250 to $280 per 1,000 cubic meters in the second half of the year, down from $406/1,000 cu m in the first quarter, he said. |
