Ukraine seeks to boost to 17% share of renewable energy by 2030
KYIV, May 18 – Ukraine’s government has approved the National Action Plan for Environmental Protection until 2025 with the aim, in particular, to bring the share of renewable energy sources to 17% by 2030 and increase the environmental efficiency index by 5 points. Government resolution No. 443-r dated April 21, 2021 published on the government website on Tuesday.

Ukraine, Energy Community to jointly work on cutting carbon emissions
KYIV, May 18 – Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko and Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Janez Kopac have agreed to cooperate in a bid to consistently implementing reforms and supporting decarbonization of the energy sector, the Energy Ministry and the Energy Community Secretariat reported on their websites on Tuesday.

Interpipe to supply new design rail wheels to Deutsche Bahn in 2021
KYIV, May 18 - The Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe expands its cooperation with the national German railway operator Deutsche Bahn.
The company said that in April 2021, the first batch of new design 840 mm ET 442 wheels has already been shipped and successfully inspected at the customer's site.

Ukraine will seek to restructure feed-in tariffs for renewable power projects
KYIV, May 18 – The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection during negotiations with investors in renewable energy sources (RES) intends to reach agreements on the restructuring of the feed-in tariff without extension of the payout time, acting Energy and Environmental Protection Minister of Ukraine Olha Buslavets told Interfax-Ukraine.
