Ag minister calls for state-run corporation for irrigation systems
KIEV, Oct. 18 – Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said the best way to implement the project for the rehabilitation of the irrigation systems in Ukraine, which is expected to get financial support through a loan from the Export-Import Bank of China, will be through creating a separate state-run corporation. |
New NBU currency requirements apply to investments, says trade group

Eni, EDF, ChornomorNaftoGaz, Water of Ukraine to work Black Sea fields
KIEV, Oct. 18 – Italy's Eni, France's Electricite de France, Ukraine's state-run ChornomorNaftoGaz and Water of Ukraine LLC plan to develop under a production sharing agreement the oil and gas fields of Subbotina, Abikha, Mayachna and Kavkazka of the Black Sea shelf, the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported. |
Odessa port problems may cripple Kirovohrad piston manufacturer
KIEV, Oct. 20 – Hydrosila APM (Kirovohrad), the largest axial-piston unit manufacturer in the CIS and part of the Hydrosila Group, says it could stop work completely due to delays with cargo customs clearance at the Odessa maritime merchandise port.
Serhiy Oliynyk, chairman of the company’s trade union committee, said that over 600 employees could be laid off. |
