MPs propose temporary reduction for used automobile excise duties

KIEV, Nov. 27 – MPs have proposed that excise duties on used passenger cars should be temporarily reduced (from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017) to minimize temporary import schemes aimed at tax avoidance.

There are reserves available for more wheat exports, official says

KIEV, Nov. 28 - There are reserves available for further wheat exports, according to Ukraine's Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.

"We will be exporting more, our updated balances give the opportunity today for the continuation of exports," First Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Ivan Bisiuk told the press in Kiev on Wednesday.

Ukraine may not go into recession this year, says NBU advisor

KIEV, Nov. 28 – Ukraine’s economy will not necessarily go into recession this year and there is still the possibility of finishing the year with a "soft landing," said Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of a group of advisors to the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.
