Ukraine’s Q1 economy contracts 2.2% on year in January-March

KYIV, June 22 – The real gross domestic product of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2021 decreased 2.2%, the State Statistics Service reported the updated estimate on Tuesday, while in the middle of May the decline was tentatively assessed at 2%.


Ukravtodor raises $700-mln via 7-year eurobond issue at 6.25% per annum

KYIV, June 22 – The State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has placed $700 million eurobonds at 6.25% per annum, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov reported on his Facebook page.


World Bank endorses 2017-2021 Ukraine Country Partnership Framework

KIEV, June 21 – The Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank on June 20 endorsed the new 2017-2021 Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Ukraine, according to a posting on the website of Ukraine's Finance Ministry.


Government to sell UAH990 billion of assets from 22 insolvent banks

KIEV, June 23 – The Deposit Guarantee Fund seeks to sell assets of 22 insolvent banks worth UAH 989.99 billion this week, the fund reported on its website.

Some UAH 646.26 million will be received from the sale of claims to loans and UAH 343.72 million from the sale of fixed assets.


European Human Rights court accepts shipbuilding company Crimean suit

Interpipe renews warnings about acute shortage of scrap metal

KIEV, June 22 - Interpipe Pipe and Wheel Company (Dnipro) has again complained about an acute shortage of scrap ferrous metal in Ukraine. Its shortage in May 2016 reached 74,000 tons of 20% of the need (375,000 tons).
