Electrolux to manufacture refrigerators at Ivano-Frankivsk factory

IVANO-FRANKIVSK, July 22 – Swedish-based Electrolux is to launch the manufacture of refrigerators at its factory in Ivano-Frankivsk.

"In May Electrolux Ukraine Ltd. started the implementation of an innovative investment project for the manufacture of refrigerators with a capacity of 200,000 per annum, which will satisfy local demand and will be also for export to the CIS countries and Eastern Europe," Ihor Zvarych, the deputy chairman of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administration, said at a meeting of the administration's collegium on Monday.


Kharkiv court mulling Batkivschyna call for Shell PSA nullification

KHARKIV, July 23 – Kharkiv's district administrative court has held its first hearing on a claim filed by Kharkiv Regional Council deputy Ivan Varchenko (the Batkivschyna faction), who demands that the council's approval of a draft production sharing agreement between Ukraine and Shell, Nadra Yuzivska on the Yuzivska shale gas field be ruled null and void, and cancelled.


Ukrainian businesses set to export poultry to European Union

KIEV, July 23 - Ukrainian businesses that from July 24 will get the right to supply poultry to the European Union will be allowed to supply by the end of the year at least 50,000 tons of this product to the markets, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.


Income and tax ministry proposes lower VAT and a tax on sales
