Ukraine looking for 'reverse flow' to boost gas supplies from Hungary

BUDAPEST, March 28 - Ukraine is counting on the technical capability for the reverse flow of gas through Hungary increasing to five billion cubic meters (bcm) a year in one or two months, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky said.


Payments to Gazprom down 16.4% for 2012, Russian gas monopoly reports

KIEV, March 29 - Russian gas giant OJSC Gazprom received 285.715 billion rubles, or $9.19 billion at the average annual exchange rate, from Ukrainian national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrayiny as payment for natural gas in 2012, which was 16.4% less, or 34.19 billion rubles less, than in 2011.
