KIEV, March 31 – Sumykhimprom, one of the leading companies in the Ukrainian chemical sector, could temporarily suspend production of phosphatic fertilizers due to political instability in some African states, a top manager of the company has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"In April Sumykhimprom could stop the production of phosphatic fertilizers for up to two weeks until a new consignment of phosphorites arrives," he said, adding that the stocks of phosphorites at the company are enough to last another two weeks.
