Ukrainians believe speaking English is necessary: study
KYIV, June 30 – The overwhelming majority of Ukrainians (84.9%) consider knowledge of the English language necessary, and 86.9% admit that it gives career advantages and that it should be compulsory for learning up to the intermediate level at Ukrainian schools, according to the results of a study "Perception of Foreign Languages by Citizens of Ukraine," conducted by the sociological company Active Group from May 29 to May 30, 2021.

World Bank appoints Banerji as country director for Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova
KYIV, June 30 – The World Bank has appointed Arup Banerji Country Director for Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine, who, prior to this position, was the Country Director for the European Union, overseeing the Bank's operational, strategy and knowledge work in the EU member states.

S&P warns may downgrade DTEK credit rating as liquidity rederiorates

EBRD to lend EUR60-mln to Naftogaz for gas purchases
KYIV, June 25 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) may lend EUR 60 million to Naftogaz Ukrayiny to finance the purchase of natural gas for imports.
As the bank said on its website, its board of directors plans to consider this project on July 24. |
