KYIV, June 30 – South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant (NPP) on June 28, as part of scheduled preventive repairs, loaded 163 Westinghouse fuel assemblies (TBC-WR) into the active zone of the second power unit, the press service of Energoatom reported.
"The full loading of the core of the second power unit of South-Ukrainian NPP means that the fuel and its operational characteristics have proven their reliability," Oleksiy Arvaninov, the deputy chief engineer of the NPP for nuclear and radiation safety, said.
