Economy minister says he hopes to avoid trade war with Russia
KIEV, Aug. 29 – The Economy Ministry hopes that tensions in political relations with Russia due to the conflict in Georgia will not trigger a trade war between the countries, Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn said.
"I think [a trade war] won't start. First and foremost, economic entities want normal and constructive trade-economic relations," he told journalists on Friday. |

Ukraine harvests 14.7-mln mt of wheat from 3.5 million hectares
KYIV, July 31 – In Ukraine, over 14.7 million tons of wheat have been harvested from 3.5 million hectares, and purchase contracts have already been signed not only for August but also for September. Prices are rising, reported the Pusk analytical cooperative, created within the framework of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council (UAC).
