Ukraine and India discussing modernization of T-72 armored vehicles

KIEV, Aug. 29 - Ukraine and India are working on expanding military and technical cooperation, and the parties are in talks on cooperation in modernization of T-72 armored vehicles for the Armed Forces of India, a source in the Ukrainian defense sector told Interfax-Ukraine.


Solvent Ukraine banks lost UAH9.3 billion YTD through July 31

KIEV, Aug. 30 – Ukraine's operating banks posted UAH 9.3 billion in net loss for the period of January-July 2016, which was 70% down from the same period of 2015 (UAH 30.2 billion), the National Bank of Ukraine reported.


Ukraine and Kazakhstan's Kazatomprom to establish uranium mining JV

KIEV, Aug. 31 – Ukraine's Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan and Kazakh National Nuclear Company Kazatomprom have agreed to establish a joint venture for uranium mining in both countries, Ukrainian Energy Minister Ihor Nasalyk said.

Corn exports expected to fall 9.75% in 2015/16 agricultural year

KIEV, Aug. 28 – Ukraine plans to export 17 million tons of corn in the 2015/16 agricultural year (July-June), 9.75% less than the previous agricultural year (18.837 million tons), said Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko.

Luhansk mechanical engineering plant leaves Ukraine for Russia

KIEV, Aug. 28 – LuhMash-43 LLC Luhansk mechanical engineering plant specialized in production of high precision mechanical parts and engineering assemblies has relocated its production to Russia's Chuvash Republic, according to 'Vesti' Russian Internet publication.
