KIEV, May 27 – The Cabinet of Ministers has ordered Naftogaz Ukrainy and the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry to attract skilled and professional advisors to protect the rights and interests of the state during settling the dispute with Russia's OJSC Gazprom.


AmCham and EBA laud progress in stabilizing customs agencies

Auto imports wiped out following new duties on passenger cars

KIEV, May 27 – The import duties on passenger autos with 1-2.2 liter engines introduced April 14 have had the effect of wiping out the imports this month, according to Oleh Nazarenko, head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Car Importers and Dealers (VAAID).


Volume of Ukrainian household waste reported up 53.9% in 2012

KIEV, May 27 – The volume of waste from Ukrainian households in 2012 grew by 53.9%, to 8 million tons, while companies and organizations which received permits to create waste rose by 0.1%, to 442.7 million, the State Statistics Service reported.

KIEV, May 25 – State-run Pavlohrad chemical plant (Dnipropetrovsk region) has finished disposing of solid rocket fuel from SS-24 intercontinental ballistic missiles, said Leonid Shyman, the company's director general.
