Committee chief: Taxes, corruption worsen Ukraine investment risks
KIEV, Feb. 2 – The risks of investing in Ukraine have considerably grown due to the actions of authorities in the taxation area and worsening corruption, according to Natalia Korolevska, head of the parliamentary committee for industrial and regulatory policy and entrepreneurship.

Ukrtatnafta announces UAH2 billion plan to modernize by 2013
KIEV, Feb. 2 – Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk oil refinery, Poltava region) is planning by 2013 to complete the first stage of a modernization program to produce the Euro-4 and Euro-5 standard fuel, Serhiy Kosheliuk, the deputy board chairman for production and capital construction at Ukrtatnafta, told reporters. |

Mineral fertilizer companies in for rough patch due to natgas rise
KIEV, Feb. 2 – Mineral fertilizer companies are in for a difficult time due to the higher price of natural gas for industrial consumers set by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission on Jan. 29 and the cancellation of export duties on mineral fertilizers by Russia.
