KIEV, Feb. 2 – The amount of premiums collected on the insurance market in 2009 will grow by 5-9%, whereas in 2008 it grew by 40%, according to rough estimates, said President and Chairperson of Kiev-based Providna insurance company Iryna Sirenko.

"We've forecasted that in 2009, the classical insurance market will grow by 5-7% or even by 9%, whereas in 2008, I think, it [the forecast] will turn out to be correct - the classical insurance market grew by 40% from 2007," she said.
