Antimonopoly Committee lets EBRD, Goldbeck control solar project
KYIV, Aug 29 – The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) allowed the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Goldbeck Solar Investment (GSI, Germany) to control the joint venture Goldbeck Solar Investment Ukraine, which they created.

KYIV, Aug 29 – Ukraine needs the fastest possible deployment of decentralized new generation, which will replace thermal power units that cannot be restored and will be resistant to missile attacks due to its own dispersion.

Ukrgasbank to lend UAH 4-bln to Ukrnafta for new projects
KYIV, Aug 30 – State-owned UGB Bank (Ukrgasbank) and PJSC Ukrnafta have signed a loan agreement, according to which the company will receive UAH 4 billion to implement an investment program to increase oil and gas production by drilling new wells and building modern gas piston units, as well as to implement cogeneration projects, the state bank’s website reported on Friday.

Ukraine to balance power consumption by removing price caps: Ukrenergo
KYIV, Aug 31 – Ukraine will be able to balance the consumption of electricity in the winter months by importing it if the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) revises the price caps on the power market, CEO of NPC Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky has said.

Ukraine, U.S. to work together to improve corporate governance
KYIV, Sept 2 – Ukraine and the United States intend to work to enhance good corporate governance at Ukraine's energy sector state-owned enterprises, to ensure the independence of the energy regulator, to decarbonize Ukraine's economy and ensure its energy security and export potential, according to a joint statement by and between the United States Department of Energy and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on enhancing bilateral energy and climate cooperation.

Energoatom, NuScale sign memo to deploy small modular reactors in Ukraine
KYIV, Sept 2 – National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom and U.S. NuScale Power have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the deployment of NuScale Power's small modular reactors (SMRs) in Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported on Thursday.
